Care & Storage

With a few simple steps, your cashmere scarf will stay soft, shape-retaining, and beautiful for a long time. Here you'll find practical tips for everyday wear, washing, and long-term storage—all in the spirit of elevating your everyday .

Daily care

  • Air out instead of washing frequently: After wearing, let it air out for 12-24 hours lying down or over a wide chair back.
  • Avoid friction: Shoulder bag straps and rough surfaces promote pilling – occasionally change the carrying position.
  • Perfume & skincare products: Apply first, then put on the scarf – alcohol and oils can weaken fibers.

Hand wash (recommended)

  • Fill the basin with cold to lukewarm water (20–30 °C) and dissolve a wool/cashmere detergent completely.
  • Gently press the scarf (do not rub or wring), soak for 5-10 minutes.
  • Rinse with clean water until no residue is visible.
  • Never use fabric softener, bleach or hot water.

Machine wash (only if label allows it)

  • Wool/hand wash program, cold , low spin speed (max. 400–600 rpm).
  • Wash individually in a laundry bag ; do not overload the drum.
  • For delicate items, hand washing remains the safe choice.

Drying & Shaping

  • Gently squeeze out water from the towel (roll it up), then lay it flat on a dry towel.
  • Pull into shape (align edges), dry away from radiators and direct sunlight.
  • Do not tumble dry. To refresh, lightly steam or iron with a cloth on the lowest setting.

Gently remove pilling

  • Pilling is natural with soft yarns.
  • Carefully remove the hair in one direction using a cashmere comb or wool stone.
  • No plucking, no disposable razors; this can damage stitches.

Treat stains

  • Dab immediately (do not rub). Use cold water, and for grease stains, add a drop of mild liquid detergent.
  • Test in an inconspicuous area first. It's best to have stubborn stains professionally cleaned.

Storage in everyday life

  • Store folded, do not hang on hangers (will warp).
  • Breathable cotton bags instead of plastic; store in a dry, dark place.
  • Change the fold occasionally to avoid break lines.

Seasonal storage & moth prevention

  • Clean and dry thoroughly before storage.
  • Use cedarwood , lavender, or neem as a natural defense; reapply regularly.
  • Combine airtight boxes with cotton bags; air them briefly and regularly.

When to go to the dry cleaners?

  • For heavy stains, very textured knits or if the label recommends dry cleaning only .
  • Choose a dry cleaner with wool/cashmere expertise and indicate stains in advance.

Do's & Don'ts

  • Do: air out, wash cold, squeeze gently, dry flat, gently de-pille.
  • Don't: wash in hot water, wring, tumble dry, heat directly, bleach or use fabric softener.

Still important

Always follow the care instructions on the label —especially for cashmere blends or special weaves. These take priority and ensure your scarf stays beautiful for a long time.

Gentle care, long-lasting joy.
With just a few clever touches, cashmere stays soft, retains its shape, and is beautiful – day after day.
